This museum sits on a 35-acre park dedicated to frontier life in the Niagara area. Tour old school houses, restored homes, and buildings to see how the area's pioneers lived. The museum also features displays of arts and crafts from the time period.

Housed in a historic synagogue, this museum offers a world-renowned collection of more than 1000 Judaic artifacts. Items range from the present day to as early as the 10th century and include currency, textiles, and religious displays.

Both the pacemaker and Cheerios have roots in Buffalo, and the county historical society makes sure the world knows it. The society is housed in the only structure remaining from the city's 1901 Pan American Exposition. Thousands of artifacts and inventions that were key to the history of the area are kept here. The museum's Pan-American exhibit occupies a separate location: the Resource Center, 459 Forest Avenue.

America's lone carrousel factory is exciting, informative, and fun for all ages. Artifacts include a merry-go-round from 1916, numerous amusement park rides, organs, and woodcarvings. Among the country's seven Karpeles museums, the Buffalo branch boasts an extensive collection of manuscripts that remains unrivaled anywhere. The national archives contain more than a million items, including Einstein's "Theory of Relativity," the "Emancipation Proclamation," and the original draft of the "Bill of Rights." Each Karpeles museum offers fascinating changing themed exhibits, which include several manuscripts that may be of particular political, musical, scientific, or literary value.
